About the Programme

This proposal is being delivered through the Southwark Regeneration in Partnership Programme, which is part of Southwark Council's ongoing commitment to build 11,000 new council homes by 2043 and 1,500 by 2018. Through the programme the Council aims to build the right kind of homes to meet a range of needs, with all homes built to a high quality standard. About the Proposal

The proposal for South Dock Marina Boatyard site retains the existing boat yard with improved facilities whilst providing 214 well integrated homes (split between social rent, intermediate rent and private sale) with parking. There is also an opportunity to offer marina related retail and business space. About the Consultation Event

This is a follow-up to the consultation event held on 29 July 2015. Although the event was well attended, we recognise that issues with the mailing list led to many households not recieving the consultation notice. This will be an opportunity for all stakeholders to have their say. It is also an opportunity for the Council to show revised plans based on feedback from the 29 July consultation and subsequent emails from local residents.
